Santiniketan English Medium School was started in 1993 by the Santiniketan Educational and Rural development Society, with the special intention of providing comprehensive and quality education in English medium to benefit the children from in and around the rural habitation of Mydukur town and admissions are made irrespective of their religion, caste, creed and colour. It is entirely to the credit of Sri G. Subbarami Reddy S/o Veera Reddy, who gave concrete shape to the idea and started the school.

The school was formally started up to 7^th class in Founder’s own buildings. It was recognised by the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh in 1995 and was upgraded to High school in 1999.

Now the school has pucca and partially pucca buildings with all facilities needed for the students and the staff. There is a library with a good number of books and furniture.

The school is enriched with two Audio-visual class rooms, to facilitate learning through multimedia for all the subjects and learning becomes a pleasurable experience.

Internet facility is offered in our school, which will boost up the teaching-learning process to a substantial level.
